Tehran Chemie History
Tehran Chemie Pharmaceutical Company, one of Iran’s leading pharmaceutical companies, was founded in Khordad 1335 (Solar Hijri) by Dr. Abdollah Rezaei and his brothers. The company initially engaged in the importation of pharmaceuticals; however, from the very beginning, it contemplated establishing a pharmaceutical unit in Iran. In a relatively short period, with the collaboration of two major German pharmaceutical centers—“Boehringer Mannheim” and “Chemie Grünenthal”—as partners, collaborators, and scientific supporters, Tehran Chemie began offering pharmaceutical products. By adding to and equipping the plant with the most modern automatic and semi-automatic machinery, as well as quality control laboratories and a control warehouse, … adjacent to the factory, it continued to expand its activities in order to meet the needs of the nation’s healthcare sector. In Azar 1344, with accelerating growth, Tehran Chemie multiplied its capital several times over to expand its operations and increased its workforce to more than 110 Iranian and foreign specialists, with Iranians constituting the majority of shareholders and employees across various departments. This upward trajectory has continued over time, with a legacy and authenticity as enduring as Iran’s pharmaceutical industry. Today, Tehran Chemie continues to move forward by employing the most modern technologies and tools, and with the presence of more than 400 committed and specialized personnel, to provide a diverse range of pharmaceutical products. It is a matter of pride that Tehran Chemie, with continuous advancement, has consistently delivered a worthy and commendable performance among the top manufacturing companies in Iran’s pharmaceutical industry in the production of generic products. With more than 60 years of history, it continues to proceed on its path with distinction and innovation, adding to its legacy and authenticity.
